ACADEMIC PROGRAM

 

Norwin Middle School operates on a team concept. Students are divided into three (3) teams in both seventh and eighth grades. Both 7th and 8th grade teams are composed of four (4) core subject teachers in the areas of Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.  Practical applications of the curriculum and the development of critical thinking and problem solving are emphasized. Other subject areas include Art, Music (General Music, Band, Orchestra, or Chorus), Industrial Technology, Family and Consumer Sciences, Physical Education/Health, Communications, and Computer Applications.  Students have the opportunity to participate in many clubs and activities sponsored by the faculty.
