Sheridan Terrace Elementary
Type of Work: New Construction
Total Area: 70,320 sq ft
Date Completed: August 2005
Sheridan Terrace Elementary School was to be constructed as a prototype of the new Sunset Valley Elementary School. Challenges arose as the new site for the Sheridan Terrace School would not allow for the same layout as its predecessor. Therefore the classroom wing of the building was stacked to conserve space and provide an efficient plan. By doing this the required space allocations were maintained and include:
- A large cafetorium with stage and a full size gymnasium.
- K-4 classrooms.
- A well appointed library.
- Various support and special programs spaces.
- Site work including: parking, separate bus and automobile access routes, softball and soccer fields, playground and separate paved play area.
